3D Virtual Tour of Prophet's Mosque

3D Virtual Tour of Prophet's Mosque

Saudi Arabia has created a virtual 3D software to visit the Prophet's Mosque for three days. Scroll with your finger and you can go anywhere in the Prophet's Mosque at home. Please visit and remember in prayer. If you open it, you can touch each tab to see everything there.

Al-Masjid al-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet's Mosque, is a huge mosque found in the Saudi Arabian city of al-Madinah. It is regarded as the second holiest site in Islam since it is where the Islamic Prophet Muhammad was lastly laid to rest.

After al-Haram in Mecca, the Prophet's Mosque is the second holiest mosque in the world. (The Jerusalem site of Al-Aqsa is third.) It is a significant place of pilgrimage, and many Hajj pilgrims continue on to al-Madinah before or after their journey to the mosque.

Virtual tours of Prophet's Mosque can be launched by selecting the preview window or by downloading the standalone versions. You only need to move the mouse in the direction you wish to look. To enlarge the details, turn the scroll wheel. To view a list of the downloaded 3D websites, press F9 (residing in the same directory).

Press F5 to add the sites to your screensaver. Install all the websites, including Prophet's Mosque, as screensavers, is our recommendation. A random website is selected and automatically opened when the screensaver first launches (this gives the impression of looking at a documentary in HD quality). Press F1 to discover how other keys are used. To leave, press Ecs.

The King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex is the first government organisation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to deploy 360° virtual reality technology to take pictures of the building and offer virtual roaming service inside it to all visitors.

The complex and its most significant facilities were photographed more than 15 years ago utilising virtual reality technology by national cadres in the IT Department, and the aforesaid images were made available on the website.

After consulting with the High Commissioner on the matter, a kind approval was given for the complex to carry out the virtual reality project in the Prophet's Mosque in the year 1421 AH/2001 AD, and KFGQPC - with Allah's help - was eager to use its experience in this field to achieve a community service for all Muslims around the world. By giving them the opportunity to roam virtually inside the Prophet's Mosque (peace be upon him).
